1. RE: Course
Feb 19 2008, 12:37 PM EST
Would you please send me some additional information on the course. How long it takes to complete and cost. I learned Pitman shorthand many years ago and I am still using it for taking Minutes at work. It would be great to take a laptop into the meetings and get the notes down as the meeting is progressing. I am quite excited to learn more.
Do you find this valuable?

Hi Lots2say2,I hope I have replied to you before in detail, but I'm not sure because messages tend to get posted on lots of places on this website and are sometimes hard to retrieve. For this reason, I have very recently created the 'Guestbook' page. The Keyscript course costs $180 (Australian). You work through the course at your own pace. There are nine stages in the course. You could probably complete all the exercises for each stage in about a week each, but it depends on the time you have available. There is space in the book to write your answers, but in your case it would obviously be important to type your answers instead, and build up your speed typing Keyscript. You should find the speed chart very helpful. As with all shorthand learning, a little study each day is best. Already knowing Pitman Shorthand so well would be an advantage for you, but I would probably stick to using Keyscript as a keyboard shorthand. Remember, you can message me via email any time with queries, problems or comments while you are studying the course. You can order the course by writing to: Janet Cheeseman, PO Box 250, PEMBERTON 6260. My email address is cheeseman@westnet.com.au These addresses are also on the 'Contact me' page on this website. I hope this information is useful to you. Kind regards, Janet Do you find this valuable? |
